Black Friday and Cyber Monday Travel Deals

Here’s a round of various 2019 Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel deals.

Now through November 29, EF Ultimate Break is reducing prices up to $1,500 or 20 percent on destinations for its biggest Black Friday sale. They include much of Europe, Bali and India. Select EF Ultimate Break tours will be up to $1,000 OFF Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday; sale ends Friday, Dec. 6.

On Black Friday only, Perillo Tours is offering a $250 off per person when travelers use the code “BLACKFRIDAY19″ on the following trips: North Classic, Continental, Marco Polo, South & Sicily, Rome & Puglia, Vesuvius, Rome & Tuscany, Wonders of the North, Rome and Amalfi Getaway 6-night, Hawaii, and Spain. The offer is valid on new bookings only for travel January 1 to December 31, 2020, except for the Rome and Amalfi 7-Night Experience or the Joe Piscopo Tour.

Also, booking through custom Italy trips with Perillo Tours through ItalyVacations.com receive $250 OFF per booking on any minimum purchase of $2,000 per booking while using the code”ITALY19”; discount applies to land only.

Turkish Airlines is having a Black Friday “Friday Flyday”sale with discounts to various cities around the world.

By using the promo code, “FLYDAY,” Qatar Airways‘ Black Friday is offering its passengers flying from the United States savings of $150 off Economy Class to Adelaide, Da Nang, Bali, Nairobi, Perth, and Tbilisi. Plus, the airline will be giving up to $300 off on its Business Class’ Qsuite to destinations such as Bangkok, Johannesburg and Melbourne. All offers are valid for travel starting January 10 onwards.

Air France will be launching an early Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal for their Flying Blue loyalty members, which they will earn triple miles on U.S. to Paris flights. If you’re not a member, sign up is free and simple and can be done here. The deal goes through December 2.

G Adventures is launching a seven-day Cyber Sale with savings of up to 35 percent on thousands of trips departing between December 3 and April 30, 2020. The sale begins on November 26 and runs until 11.59pm EST on December 2.

In anticipation of its July 4, 2020 opening, LEGOLAND New York Resort is offering a 50 percent off its highest tier annual pass, the Gold Pass. From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, families can purchase the Gold Pass (valued at $209.99) for $99.99.

For Black Friday, Trafalgar is offering up to 20 percent off on 40-plus trips worldwide on bookings made between Nov. 29 through Dec 2, for select 2020 departure.

Contiki is offering up to 30 percent off select trips purchased over Cyber Weekend. Valid on select trips on bookings paid by Dec 18.

From Black Friday through 11:59 p.m. on Cyber Monday, Wild Bum will offer discounts on their travel guides. For example, their “Food, Wine & Hiking in New Zealand” is regularly priced at $75 but is listed at $37.50 on Black Friday.

On Black Friday, shop with Hotwire’s mobile app between November 27 and November 29 to save up to $70 off on hotel bookings for any date. This promotion includes Hotwire’s everyday Hot Rates. Use the following codes:

$10 off $100 hotel bookings using promo code: HWBF10
$40 off $300 hotel bookings using promo code: HWBF40
$70 off $500 hotel bookings using promo code: HWBF70

For Cyber Monday, book a hotel for any date with Hotwire on December 2 and take an extra 11 percent off $100 Hot Rate Hotels. Use the promo code “HWHOTDEALS.”

For Black Friday, download or open Orbitz’s app for a promo code that will unlock 18 percent off of various hotels; on Cyber Monday, visit the Deals section of the booking site’s webpage for a promo code to receive 17 percent off hotels in-app and on the website. And then there are extended deals via Orbitz from November 25 through December 1, use the promo code “ALLWEEK15” for 15 percent off.

Travelocity has a similar promo for Black Friday, by downloading or opening its app the day-of for promo code that will unlock 18 percent of off hotels in-app or on its website. From November 25 through December 1, use the promo code “GRATEFUL15” for 15 percent of hotels sitewide. Also, shoppers can save up to 50 percent off select hotels through December 3; no promo code required.

Every major U.S. destination has its share of iconic attractions worth visiting, which can require even the most savvy traveler to factor admission prices into their budget. However, there are money-saving solutions like discount cards or booklets such as CityPASS that can extend your sightseeing options while keeping some cash in our wallet.

Recently, I met with a CityPASS representative to learn more about their admission discount program. It works like this. CityPASS booklets feature admission coupons to top-rated museums and institutions in currently 12 North American major locations.

They include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, NYC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Southern California. Southern California’s CityPASS comes in a card format, while the others are all booklets.

However, every destination’s version contains admission tickets about four to six top ranking sites, with some of them being a choice between using it for one place or another. For example, in the New York CityPASS, there are tickets where you can opt to use them for either the Top of the Rock or Guggenheim Museum or either the 9/11 Memorial & Museum or the Intrepid. Once you start using the booklet, it becomes activated and validated for nine consecutive days (except for Southern California CityPASS, whose admission cards run for 14 days).

CityPASS might be suited particularly for first-time visitors or even families (there are kids and adult versions), but the perk is that CityPASS can be bought online or at your destination for the same cost. Plus it’s set up where you don’t have to wait at the usual ticket line to get inside.

Travel companies have gotten into Black Friday and Cyber Monday by offering special deals and discounts online and/or by phone. The best part: You don’t have to get up at a ridiculous hour!

Here is a roundup of ones I have found and/or received pitches on:

– Gate 1 Travel will feature discounts on all Gate 1 Travel and Discovery Tours packages. The sale on new bookings only will begin online only on November 27 and then available by phone from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. beginning November 28. Black Friday deals include:

Spend $500 or more and receive $50 off with the promo code BLKFDY50
Spend $1,000 or more and receive $100 off with the promo code BLKFDY100

Starting at noon EST, from today, November 24 through Monday, December 1 at 8 p.m. EST, travelers can get 50 percent off or a buy 1 get 1 free sale on their polar expeditions.

– For Cyber Sunday and Cyber Monday, Access Trips is offering 25 percent off of new bookings for its culinary and biking tours departing between February 1 and August 31, 2015. It’s valid on culinary explorations of Morocco, Vietnam, Thailand and Sonoma; and mountain biking trips for active travelers of all levels in Costa Rica, Turkey and Nepal. Promo Code: ADVENTURE25.

– Friendly Planet is hosting a 24-hour Cyber Monday sale with $100–$500 off every package. It starts at 12 a.m. ET on Monday, December 1.

– Hilton is offering exclusive rates during Cyber Week for an escape to New York with the Hilton New York Midtown starting at $179/night and Waldorf Astoria New York starting at $229/night. Book these rates starting at 12:01 a.m. CST on December 1 until 11:59 p.m. CST on December 7, 2014, staying between December 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015.

– Sonesta Hotels and Resorts are offering a Cyber Monday promotion of up to 25 percent off two night stays at their US properties. Use the code Cyber2014 on Sonesta.com. For their full-service hotels, location stays include Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Houston, Miami, New Orleans and Philadelphia. With their Sonesta ES Suites, locations include Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Princeton, and St. Louis. On Cyber Monday, join the Sonesta Travel Pass guest loyalty program and take advantage of 3x the points for their next trip. Valid for new reservations traveling by March 31, 2015 and subject to availability at participating hotels. Offers may vary slightly by hotel.

– Atlantis Resort is having a Black Friday-Cyber Monday four-day sale offering up to 50 percent in savings on rates from November 28 through December 1. It’s valid for travel between December 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. Blackout dates: December 18, 2014 – January 2, 2015 Book on AtlantisBahamas.com or at 1-800-Atlantis.

– Expedia is also having a Black Friday Sale with deals available on Friday, November 28, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. PST. Check this link to see what they are.

– Club Med is offering travelers up to 50 percent off when booking from November 28 through December 3, 2014 for select travel through spring 2015.

– Hotels Tonight is starting off their Black Friday sale at 7 a.m., featuring $7 rooms in destinations across the US and UK for stays that night. The site will also have deals starting at just $70 all weekend long, including Cyber Monday.
